| The existing kitchen had limited storage, outdated appliances, and a floor plan layout which left a large unused void in the middle of the kitchen. Our client wanted more sophisticated cooking appliances that would solve the instant demands of young children, family dinners and the entertaining of guests. |
 |
The configuration of the kitchen was re-designed to address the clients desire for additional work areas, expanded storage and an eat in kitchen. A center island was designed to house a second sink. A drawer dishwasher handles the overflow from their children’s juice drinks, as well as extra glassware when entertaining. A large double door floor to ceiling pantry with rollout drawers was designed to house canned goods and spices. |

Our challenge with this kitchen renovation was to transform this large white space, which was cold and uninviting into a warm family kitchen. We acted as the General Contractor, hired and co-ordinated subcontractors so the process was turn key for the clients. We added warmth with cherry cabinetry, peacock granite and interest to the floor with multi sized tiles in gradations of a tan hue.

Renovated entire kitchen to create a more accessible, functional, updated room. Space was re-configured to include a center island and cook top for additional workspace and eating. The window seat created a nook for putting on boots or talking on the phone. French doors were added to access the patio. Walls were ragged a soft sage to complement the Verde Vermont Marble counter tops. Wood floors were installed to add to the clean lines of the kitchen.

Client’s original kitchen had two windows, one over the sink, and a second at the end of the same wall. In addition, there was an off center opening to the family room. In re-designing the space, a larger window was added over the sink allowing for more light and expanding the view, while the second window was removed. An enlarged “pass thru” was created to replace the off centered opening, allowing easy access to the dining room.

Country French kitchen was designed for the client and their young family. Limestone floors, granite counters and tumbled marble backsplash all add to the rustic country charm. Stone niche above the cook top provides display and handly storage for exotic cooking oils. Rooster lampshades on the chandelier over the center island add to the Provence atmosphere.
